The Maine Highland Cattle Association

was formed in January of 2001 to promote and market the breed, and to provide information and education to growers and the public.

Services Provided:

• Maintain a listing of Highland owners in Maine
• Promote sales of breeding stock and beef
• Promote consistent breed standards
• Provide a standardized finished product
• Conduct training sessions on farm management
• Promote cooperative buying and sales
• Provide displays for fairs
• Provide unique herd sires
• Promote farm visits such as Open Farm Day
