The Maine Highland Cattle Association

was formed in January of 2001 to promote and market the breed, and to provide information and education to growers and the public.

Services Provided:

• Maintains a listing of Highland owners in Maine
• Promotes sales of breeding stock and beef
• Promotes consistent breed standards
• Provides a standardized finished product
• Conducts training sessions on farm management
• Promotes cooperative buying and sales
• Provides displays for fairs
• Provides unique herd sires
• Promotes farm visits such as Open Farm Day
